Refugees coming into Rwanda “not Rwanda’s problem” Says President Paul Kigame

0

The government of Rwanda has changed its position on President Paul Kagame’s stance that the nation will no longer provide refuge to anyone escaping turmoil in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Refugees crossing the border into Rwanda, according to Mr. Kagame, are “not Rwanda’s problem.”

“I am refusing that Rwanda should carry this burden,” the president said.

The spokesperson for the Rwandan government, Yolande Makolo, tweeted on Tuesday night that Rwanda had no plans to prohibit or expel refugees.

She said that President Kagame’s comments had been misrepresented by the media.

“What the President addressed was the blatant hypocrisy in criticising Rwanda which simultaneously gets the blame for state failure in the DRC [DR Congo], and is then expected to accommodate those who seek refuge from the consequences of that failure”. She wrote on her Tweeter page.

Meanwhile, The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been plagued by conflict for almost 30 years. Civil wars, neighborhood disputes, and cross-border hostilities have resulted in millions of deaths and an estimated 5.6 million displaced persons.

10 people have been rescued by the Rivers State Police after their raid on two baby factories.

The Rivers State Police Command reported that during a raid on two alleged baby factories in the state, 10 victims of child trafficking were rescued.

In a statement released yesterday, the command’s spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, said four alleged owners of the baby factories had also been detained.

She went on to allege that the victims—two adult males and ten pregnant women, including teenagers—were detained at the factories against their will after being brainwashed by the owners.

She stated: “On January 7, at approximately 4:45 p.m., we got intelligence regarding the operations of a child trafficking ring in the communities of Igwuruta and Omagwa in Rivers State.

“The command’s C41 Intelligence Unit operatives raided two houses (factories) at Igwuruta and Omagwa communities, where victims of child trafficking were kept. Four suspected operators of the factories, including two men and two women, were arrested by our operatives. ”Iringe-Koko hinted that the suspects were led by a 40-year-old woman from the Igwuruta community. The pregnant victims were aged between 15 and 29 at the time of their rescue, she added.

“Investigation showed that when the victims are delivered of their babies, the syndicate leader takes the babies and pay them N500,000. All the victims confessed that they were lured into the business because they were promised money to meet their financial challenges.

The spokesperson said, “The case has been transferred to the command’s Criminal Investigation Department while efforts are on to track and arrest the buyers”.

Breaking: Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Promo Videos Leaked!

0

Samsung unintentionally revealed the Galaxy S23 series’ launch date a few days ago. The Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for February 1 in case you missed it. The entire S23 gadget lineup will be unveiled at that occasion. But why wait that long when you can learn the majority of your information about them from pirated promotional videos?

That’s right—the headline wasn’t clickbait. The new flagships’ teaser films have just started to circulate online. Additionally, the films demonstrate the features of the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Even though I believe the S23 to be “Boringly Perfect,” I must admit that the videos have had me a little excited.

Leaked Promo Video of Galaxy S23 Ultra

The three camera lenses serve as the videos’ visual component. similar to the invitation picture that Samsung officially announced a few days ago. In the opening video, “megapixels that’ll make you say wooow” are shown. The teaser is indeed for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, we can now say with certainty.

The new hardware has been briefly discussed by leaker Ice Universe. Additionally, the cat spoke extensively on the Galaxy S23 series’ improved picture processing. And it appears that the data was largely accurate. The second video that was leaked talks of “amazing night images that are coming soon.” “Ooo” is used yet again to describe the three camera lenses.

Ice Universe has also expressed dissatisfaction with Samsung for putting too much emphasis on the new camera. The biggest issue is that there weren’t enough resources left over from the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra to enhance the periscope’s hardware. It’s possible that we’ll see something like that on the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Additionally, new rumours indicate that the forthcoming S23 Ultra may possibly forego a selfie camera. Instead of a 40 MP camera, it could have a 12 MP sensor. The primary camera will at least support 8K 30 FPS recording. That is something that earlier models were unable to provide.

Breaking: Labour Party Experiences Major Setback Following Chairman’s Resignation

0

Salako wrote in his letter of resignation:

“I can’t infiltrate a political party that I am challenging. I am extremely appreciative that the Labour Party prevented me from joining the APC over the many years I was with them. The Labour Party exalted me and told me I couldn’t go when I wanted to. I am a sincere person. “I don’t lie or cheat; it’s where I’m going that counts,” I once said. I attended the party to see how I could improve it for myself.

He added that because he is competing for political office in the upcoming election, he is unable to continue serving as the party’s chairman. According to Salako, the party’s organizational structure is still crucial, and he would not compromise it to further his own objectives.

The leader of the Labour Party stated,

“I have to hand over. We have been constructing this for months. The structure is the best asset a politician can have.
