Senate President, Akpabio Discloses Senate Majority, Minority Leaders

The President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has disclosed the identities of the prominent individuals who form the majority and minority leadership of the 10th Senate.

The appointments were executed to ensure efficient governance and adequate representation within the legislative institution.

The subsequent individuals have been entrusted with significant responsibilities in steering the Senate’s proceedings and influencing its policies.

Majority Leadership:

Opeyemi Bamidele, a seasoned legislator known for his sharp political expertise, has been designated as the Senate Majority Leader.

David Umahi has taken on the role of Deputy Majority Leader. Umahi, known for his exceptional leadership skills, will support the Senate Majority Leader by utilizing his ability to build consensus and navigate complex political landscapes.

Mohammed Ali Ndume has assumed the position of Senate Majority Whip. With his extensive experience in public service and deep understanding of legislative procedures, Ndume will ensure discipline among majority members and safeguard the party’s interests.

Lola Ashiru has been appointed as the Deputy Majority Whip. As a dedicated and influential member of the Senate, Ashiru will assist the Senate Majority Whip in enforcing party discipline and garnering support for important legislative initiatives.

In the minority leadership:
