In the wake of the election of principal officers for the 10th Senate, Senate President Godswill Akpabio has announced the appointment of new principal officers for the 10th Senate, highlighting that they were chosen through a consensus process.
The newly appointed officials are as follows: Senator Opeyemi Bamidele from Ekiti State as the Senate Leader, Senator Dave Umahi from Ebonyi State as the Deputy Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume from Borno State as the Chief Whip, and Senator Lola Ashiru from Kwara State as the Deputy Chief Whip.
