Senator Kashim Shettima, the Vice President, held a meeting with Bill Gates, the co-chairman of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Aliko Dangote, the chairman of the Dangote Foundation, and members of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) on Thursday.
The meeting, which took place at the State House in Abuja, started at 11:43 a.m. and was conducted privately. This meeting was part of Mr. Gates’ visits to Nigeria and Niger Republic, and while the specific agenda is unknown, it is expected that the participants discussed potential areas of collaboration between the foundations and the Federal Government, particularly in the fields of health and education.
