According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City will have to shell out a fee in the region of €100m for the services of their transfer target Josko Gvardiol.
The RB Leipzig defender has been one of the shining stars of the season and has attracted attention since his heroics in Qatar in the previous edition of the World Cup.
With Manchester City expressing their massive interest in signing the centre-back, Romano suggests that Pep’s side will have to pay a massive amount to secure his signature.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with CaughtOffside, Romano commented on the future of Gvardiol: “More than €80m, the most expensive centre-back in the history of the game, this is the idea of RB Leipzig. I’m not sure €80m or €85m will be enough. Sources close to Leipzig believe it could be around €100m to sign Gvardiol this summer.”
