The DSS acknowledged that Emefiele is being held for investigative purposes. The statement also emphasized the need for caution in reporting and discussing the matter, particularly by the media.
This confirmation comes after earlier denials by the DSS regarding Emefiele’s whereabouts. In a previous brief statement on Saturday morning, Afunanya stated that Emefiele was not currently in the custody of the DSS.
