Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has agreed personal terms with Manchester City, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Croatia international’s contract expires next year, and Chelsea are actively looking to offload players with have 12 months remaining on their deals instead of seeing them leave on a free transfer next summer.
Chelsea granted City permission to speak with Kovacic about a possible move ahead of the upcoming transfer window last week. The Premier League champions have now agreed a contract with the Chelsea midfielder, and will now continue negotiations with Chelsea over a fee for Kovacic.
