Following his swearing-in as Nigeria’s 16th President, President Bola Tinubu has arrived at the Presidential villa to commence his official duties.
He arrived at the villa after departing from the Defence House, where he had been staying. Upon his arrival, he received a warm welcome from several notable individuals, including Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Godwin Emefiele.
Accompanying President Tinubu were various officials, such as Mele Kyari, the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), as well as Honourable James Faleke, the representative for Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Tinubu faces significant challenges ahead as his stance on fuel subsidy removal has sparked widespread controversy. This has led to a surge in fuel prices at filling stations across the country, with some even refusing to sell fuel altogether.
As a result, many well-intentioned Nigerians are experiencing hardship as they struggle to cope with the situation. Tinubu now has a considerable workload as he must address these issues and find a resolution that alleviates the difficulties faced by the people.
