Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has extended his congratulations to President Bola Tinubu on his inauguration as the 16th President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday, Gbajabiamila praised Tinubu’s wisdom, resilience, determination, and commitment to Nigeria’s democracy over the past three decades. He highlighted Tinubu’s election on February 25 as the 16th President, stating that Nigeria has embarked on a positive trajectory after the administration of outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari.
Gbajabiamila expressed optimism for renewed hope as promised by Tinubu during his campaign and inaugural speech, particularly in the areas of the economy, security, agriculture, and unemployment.
The Speaker commended Tinubu’s efforts to unite Nigerians after a fiercely contested election, expressing confidence in his ability to govern alongside Vice President Kashim Shettima. Gbajabiamila concluded by urging Nigerians to support the new government and work together for a better Nigeria.
