Barcelona Bid Farewell to Nou Camp with Impressive Win Over Mallorca

Mallorca conceded a quick goal In the opening minute when Ansu Fati swiftly converted Gavi’s cut-back, putting Barcelona in the lead.

Mallorca’s Amath Ndiaye was then shown a red card for a dangerous tackle on Barcelona’s young talent, Alejandro Balde, just 13 minutes later. Fati added to his goal tally with a second strike, this time assisted by Robert Lewandowski’s flick.

Gavi contributed another goal to complete the scoring for Barcelona. Following the match, Barcelona were presented with the La Liga trophy.

In the upcoming season, the La Liga champions will temporarily move to the Olympic Stadium in Montjuic while the Nou Camp undergoes redevelopment.

They will return to the Nou Camp with a reduced capacity of 50% in the 2024-25 season, with full completion expected in 2025-26. As Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, who are both departing the club in the summer, were substituted in the second half, they received standing ovations from the home fans.

Lewandowski came close to scoring his 24th league goal of the campaign with a free-kick after halftime but hit the woodwork. Xavi’s team will conclude their campaign with a match against Celta Vigo next Sunday.
