The win means Chelsea go top of the Women Super League table having played all their outstanding matches and now leading second place Manchester United with 2 points and third place Arsenal who also defeats Everton 4-1 earlier with 5 points.
With just 2 games remaining, the WSL title race will likely go to the wire as Chelsea hosts Arsenal next and Manchester United play neighbour Manchester City who sit fourth.
