According to SPORT, Barcelona and Aston Villa have entered talks to sign Ferran Torres. The Catalan side want at least €45m from the Premier League side for the former Manchester City star.
It’s well-documented that Barcelona will sanction big sales in the summer in order to acquire new players. This is, in fact, one of the requirements that the team must meet in order to comply with La Liga’s feasibility plan.
Torres has fallen down the pecking order at the Catalan club and is likely to look for fresh challenge come the summer, and is said to be open to a Premier League return with Unai Emery’s side.
Barcelona revealed director of football Mateu Alemany would leave his role at the Spotify Camp Nou at the end of the season – with a move to Villa Park on the cards. He has already been busy for the upcoming window, and could be the catalyst in this Torres to Villa operation.
