Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly interested in signing Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo, and feels he would suit their current style of play, according to 90min.
The duo have worked together in the past during their time at City, when the Arsenal boss was assistant to Pep Guardiola. Cancelo now faces an uncertain future at City and could very well be on his way out of the defending Premier League champions in the summer.
The 28-year-old left City in January to complete a loan switch to Bayern Munich for the second half of the season after falling out of favour with Pep Guardiola at his parent club.
The Bundesliga giants have £61m option-to-buy, and want to keep him at the Allianz Arena, where he’s now a regular starter under Thomas Tuchel. Barcelona and Real Madrid are also said to be interested in a potential move.
