Lyon staged an incredible comeback to defeat Montpellier 5-4 in Ligue 1 on Sunday, with Alexandre Lacazette scoring a penalty with the last kick of the game to seal the victory.
The result moves Lyon into the European qualification picture, just three points behind fifth-placed Lille.
Lacazette’s four goals put him at the top of the Ligue 1 scorers’ list with 24 goals, one ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe.
The match saw Elye Wahi score four goals for Montpellier, who led 4-1 after 55 minutes. The win came as both Lille and Rennes slipped up, giving Lyon a chance to move up the table.
