As Manchester City already seem to be compiling their wish list ahead of next season, Pep Guardiola has made the signing of a new left-back a top priority for City this summer, according to Foot Mercato.
And the man featuring at the very top of his wanted list is Aston Villa star Alex Moreno, who has seemingly caught their eye with his impressive form ever since he joined Unai Emery’s side for just £13.3m in the January window.
Emery seemed to be the driving force behind the signing of the Spanish full-back, who has provided plenty of defensive nous, directness, width and creativity down the left-flank. However, the fear for the Villans is that Manchester City are now ‘interested’ in a summer transfer swoop to sign the 29-year-old.
