Lazio defeat Sassuolo

Lazio’s win against Sassuolo delays Napoli’s chances of securing their first Serie A title in 33 years, at least for another day. Felipe Anderson and Toma Basic scored for Lazio, securing a win needed to keep their faint title hopes alive.

However, Napoli requires only one point from their last six matches to secure the title. Meanwhile, Inter Milan’s Champions League aspirations were boosted with a 6-0 victory over Verona, with Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez both scoring twice.

AC Milan’s top-four hopes took a hit with a 1-1 draw against Cremonese, dropping them to sixth in the table. Atalanta sits in fifth place after a 3-2 victory over Spezia.
