Chelsea have been offered the chance to land Germany international winger Leroy Sane in a shock swap deal involving Blues midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
That’s according to Inter Live (via Sport Witness), who says both Inter Milan and Bayern Munich are interested in signing Kovacic, who is reportedly valued at least €40m, a figure that is deemed too high for the Serie A side.
Like Inter, Bayern Munich do not want to “resort to cash” to sign the Blues star. Instead, the Bavarian giants are planning to “undertake an incredible exchange negotiation” involving Sane, who has fallen down the pecking order under new boss Thomas Tuchel.
The player’s wife is also said to be “fed up” with life in Germany and has already returned to the UK, and the ex-Man City could follow in her footsteps in the upcoming summer transfer window, with Chelsea touted as a potential destination.
