According to AS journalist Javi Miguel, Barcelona skipper Sergio Busquets is on the cusp of renewing his contract with the club. Some people in the dressing room are already informed about the 34-year-old’s decision.
Busquets’ current contract with Barcelona expires at the end of the ongoing campaign. Manager Xavi Hernandez has been eager on renewing the midfielder’s contract to keep hold of him for at least another year.
The Blaugrana have formally tabled a one-year contract offer worth €7m net salary to Busquets, with an option for a further twelve months based on the number of appearances he makes.
Should Barca failed to reach an agreement with him, he will likely be playing in Saudi Arabia or Qatar next season, having already received offers notably from Al Nassr
