After falling out of favor at Stamford Bridge and new contract talks stalling between Chelsea and Mason Mount, the Englishman was set to leave the club in the summer with Liverpool circling around. According to 90Min, however, all may not be lost for the west London outfit.
There is no sign of progress as far as Mason Mount’s contract talks are concerned, and Liverpool want to capitalise on the same as they intensify their pursuit of the English midfielder, according to The Guardian.
According to the reports, Mount has been impressed by Todd Boehly’s courting of high-profile managers such as Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann, and such an appointment could be key in making him stay.
The Reds, as reported last week, have opted out of the race for Jude Bellingham, who was seemingly a priority for Klopp. They have now, instead, chosen to focus on other signings for midfield, including Mount.
