UEFA Champions League: Tuchel, Remains Optimistic Despite Defeat Against Manchester City on Tuesday.

Although Bayern Munich suffered a tough defeat against Manchester City on Tuesday, their manager Thomas Tuchel remains optimistic. The team had a difficult time at the Etihad Stadium, where they were handed a 3-0 loss in the second half by Rodri, Bernardo Silva, and Erling Haaland.

As the defending champions, Bayern Munich is undoubtedly disappointed with the result, but Tuchel is focusing on the upcoming return leg at the Allianz Arena on April 19, which he hopes could provide an opportunity for a turnaround.

After the match, the newly appointed Bayern Munich boss said “It’s not over until it’s over,”

“The result doesn’t reflect the game. We showed real character. We played well for the first 20 minutes of the second half but weren’t rewarded.”

“We went behind to a long-range goal. The reaction was very good, even more so in the second half. We tried to swing the momentum back in our favour. Obviously, everyone is disappointed.”

Tuchel, however, noted that Bayern Munich will not give up he said: “It didn’t feel like a 3-0 loss, but that’s what it is. It’s a big ask to turn it around, but we won’t give up. A home game in Germany is a home game in Germany,” he said.
