The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop Daniel Okoh, delivered an Easter message to Nigerians in which he encouraged them to move past their obstacles and begin anew.

The message, shared with journalists on Sunday, urged Nigerians to maintain hope and stay committed to their faith despite the numerous challenges that the country is facing, such as insecurity, economic hardship, and social and political turmoil.

Although Archbishop Okoh acknowledged the hardships that Nigerians are currently experiencing, he stressed that these challenges can be conquered with faith and resolve.

“As a nation, Nigeria has faced many challenges in recent years, from insecurity and economic instability to social and political unrest. However, just as Christ rose from the dead and brought new life to the world, we too can rise above our challenges and start afresh,” Archbishop Okoh said in his message.

“This Easter, let us all come together and renew our commitment to building a better Nigeria.”

The Archbishop urged Nigerians to adopt the principles of love, peace, and reconciliation, which are integral to the Easter message.

He called for unity among Nigerians of different religious and ethnic backgrounds and encouraged them to collaborate towards creating a brighter future for everyone.

“Let us put aside our differences and come together in unity, just as Christ’s resurrection brought together people from all walks of life,” Archbishop Okoh said.

“Let us come together as one people and work towards a brighter future for our nation.”
