Guardiola has beaten Wenger’s Premier League record after guiding Manchester City to a 4-1 comeback win against Liverpool on Saturday.
City continued their push to retain their Premier League title after coming from a down to thrash Liverpool 4-1 at the Etihad on Saturday.
Mohammed Salah gave Liverpool the lead but goals from Julian Alvarez, Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish, saw City complete the comeback.
According to OptaJoe, it was City’s 100th Premier League home win under Guardiola, in their 128th such match at the Etihad Stadium (16 draws, 12 defeats).
It is the fastest a manager has reached 100 home wins in the competition, beating Wenger’s previous record of 139 games.
The win saw City reduce Arsenal’s lead at the top to five points in the league table.
However, the Gunners responded as they hammered Leeds United 4-1 at the Emirates to re-establish their eight points gap.
