Julian Alvarez has officially signed a new contract with Manchester City which will keep him at the Etihad until 2028.
The Argentina World Cup winner has played a backseat role to Erling Haaland this season but has impressed when given opportunities. He has scored ten goals in 33 games so far for the Premier League champions after joining from River Plate last July.
Alvarez also scored four goals for Argentina in Qatar and says he is looking forward to improving further under Pep Guardiola.
He told City’s website: “This is a very proud moment for me and my family. For a club like City to put their faith in me like this is amazing.
