England National Team Legends, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard has been given a pathway that could see them become England manager after Southgate.
With both ex-players out of job after Lampard was sacked by Everton and Gerrard sacked by Aston Villa this season after poor runs of form and inconsistency.
Both now has the chance to succeed Southgate by going through the same part as Southgate did to become England manager. Southgate was promoted from England U21 manager post to the senior level.
With the current under 21 coach looking to play his trades somewhere, it’s a chance for both of them to takeover the opportunity and actualize it. Lampard was offered the job shortly after being sacked by Chelsea but now could have the second chance.
Another former player that could be considered is Scott Parker who was just sacked after his Club Brugge side was humiliated by Benfica in the Champions League.
