The President of Barcelona has addressed allegations of corruption related to the club’s payments to refereeing committees in Spain. Laporta took to Twitter on Sunday to defend the club’s innocence and assure fans worldwide that the allegations are baseless.
According to Laporta, the accusations are part of a deliberate effort to tarnish Barcelona’s reputation. Nonetheless, he promised that the club will take appropriate steps to safeguard its integrity.
Culers, you can be calm. Barça is innocent of the accusations made against it and is the victim of a campaign, that now involves everyone, to harm its honorability. It is no surprise, and we will defend Barça and prove that the Club is innocent. Many will be forced to rectify.
