Bayern Munich forward, Thomas Muller has aimed a dig at the former Barcelona icon that playing against him is always easy. He said “against Messi, things always go well”.

After just knocking out PSG from the Champions League, Muller decided to add more salt to PSG’s wound particularly the man who most regarded as the GOAT. Things has not always being well on Messi’s side anytime he faced Muller’s Bayern Munich. A 8-2 defeat, 7-0 on aggregate are one of the many defeats that Messi’s team has suffered when playing Bayern Munich.

Muller told reporters after helping Bayern to book their place in the quarter-finals: “Against Messi, things always go well at all levels in terms of results. At club level, Cristiano Ronaldo was our problem when he was at Real Madrid. But I have the greatest respect for Messi’s World Cup performance. Messi’s individual performance at the World Cup was amazing. He carried the whole squad. It’s not so easy to play at a team like PSG. It’s difficult to get a really good team balance.”

With recent occurrence in the team and their consistent European downfall, it’s still a mystery as to what Messi’s decision will be, whether to extend or leave as his contract runs out at the season end.
