Tension in Abuja as the PDP leaders and governors led by the party’s National Chairman, Mr Iyorchia Ayu will today (Monday)  have a protest march to the Independent National Electoral Commission headquarters, Abuja, over the outcome of the February 25 presidential election.

With the current security threats in the nation and the aftermath of famous protests that had happened in the past, the people of Abuja feared worse could happen.

The protest comes aftermath of one of the most controversial election held in Nigeria, while some dubbed it the best, many organisation including foreign bodies have condemned the election, tagging it flawed and rigged. Some has even go to the extent of alleging the INEC Chairman to have been bribed by the ruling party.

Both PDP and LP has openly rejected the outcome of the election and while the latter is planning to make their arguments in the court of law, the former has decided to express theirs in form of a protest.

All fingers crossed hoping that the supposed peaceful protest will not turn to chaos later on.
