Brazillian ace, Roberto Firmino is poised to leave Liverpool at the end of the season when his contract expires, bringing an end to an eight-year career at Anfield.

According to Sky Sports and the BBC, the 31-year-old has decided to depart the Reds on a free transfer rather than extend his contract.

Firmino, who has 102 goals in 352 appearances for Liverpool, has been instrumental in their return to the summit of both the English and European leagues under Jurgen Klopp.

Since joining Hoffenheim in 2015, he has won several significant titles in the Champions League, Premier League, Club World Cup, and FA Cup.

The emergence of Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo at Anfield has pushed the Brazilian down the pecking order in recent seasons. Firmino is one of five Liverpool players out of contract this season as the club prepares for a big rebuild.
