Famous Nigerian Artiste, Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido, won honors on Sunday night at the renowned All Africa Music Awards in Dakar, Senegal.
Burna Boy, who has received a Grammy, won the Best Act in Africa prize in the seventh iteration of the competition.
He also won the Best Album of the Year award, besting artists like Kabza De Small from South Africa and Didi B from Cote d’Ivoire, among others.
Didi B, an Ivorian artist, was the winner of the Song of the Year Award, nevertheless, Davido won the Best Male Act in African Inspirational Music Award, while Wizkid won Best Act in West Africa.
Adekunle Gold also received two honors for his collaboration with Davido on the song “High”: Best Act Group in African Contemporary Music and Best Act, Duo, or Group in African Pop.
The four-day celebration of African music superstars came to a close with an awards ceremony at the 15,000-seat Dakar Arena in Diamniadio, Senegal.
Among the performers that enthralled the audience at the occasion was Black Sheriff from Ghana and PSquare from Nigeria.
