It felt as though Nigerians were waiting for the Independent national electoral commission (INEC) to bring the Permanent Voters Card (PVC) closer to them as people turned up in large numbers to the 8,809 Registration Areas/Wards available across the country to get their PVC.

The voters’ card was previously distributed at the Local government and INEC offices in each state. However, to bring the card closer to the people, as claimed by INEC, the voters’ card was taken to the wards/registration areas starting from January 6 up until January 15 which the card will be returned to the INEC offices in the local government, before the final date of January 22 in which the PVC will no longer be distributed.
