Dejan Kulusevski Undergoes Knee Surgery Ahead of Europa League Final

Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski has undergone surgery on his right knee just days before the club’s highly anticipated Europa League final against Manchester United. The 25-year-old picked up the injury during Spurs’ 2-0 Premier League loss to Crystal Palace last weekend.

Despite the setback, Tottenham have not ruled Kulusevski out for the remainder of the season. In a statement, the club confirmed that the Swedish international “will commence his rehabilitation with our medical staff immediately,” leaving the door open for a potential return in time for the final in Bilbao next Wednesday.

Kulusevski took to Instagram following the news, sharing an emotional message alongside a video compilation of his standout moments from the season. “For the people that I gave joy this year, thank you. I appreciate you and I love you. I pray for you,” he wrote, receiving an outpouring of support from fans and teammates.

This latest injury comes shortly after Kulusevski made his return from a foot issue that had sidelined him for several weeks. Upon his comeback, he played a key role in Spurs’ European campaign, featuring in crucial victories over Eintracht Frankfurt and Bodo/Glimt that secured their place in the Europa League final.

So far this season, Kulusevski has been one of Tottenham’s most consistent performers, registering 10 goals and 11 assists in 50 appearances across all competitions. The club will be hoping for positive news from his rehabilitation as they prepare for their biggest match of the season.
