Barcelona Dominate Dortmund 4-0 in Champions League Quarter-Final First Leg

Barcelona dominated Borussia Dortmund in a 4-0 win in the Champions League quarter-final first leg on Wednesday, taking a commanding advantage in the tie. Robert Lewandowski scored twice against his former team after Raphinha opened the scoring in the first half. Lamine Yamal sealed the win with a neat finish to virtually secure a semi-final spot.

Yamal was a key figure as Barcelona took control early, forcing a save from Gregor Kobel and later missing a chance instead of passing to Lewandowski. However, when Raphinha crossed for Lewandowski, the striker’s shot was saved again. Barcelona eventually took the lead after a risky move from Raphinha. Inigo Martinez’s header was initially blocked, but Raphinha managed to force it over the line, with VAR confirming the goal.

Dortmund threatened sporadically but couldn’t beat Wojciech Szczesny, with Serhou Guirassy wasting their chances. In the second half, Barcelona extended their lead quickly as Lewandowski finished from close range after a Raphinha header. A few minutes later, Fermin Lopez set up Lewandowski for his second goal. Dortmund collapsed late when a defensive error allowed Lewandowski to assist Raphinha, who found Yamal to complete the rout.
