Fulham Cruise Past Watford to Secure FA Cup Victory

Fulham dominated possession and fired 27 attempts at goal, securing a comfortable FA Cup victory. Rodrigo Muniz opened the scoring midway through the first half after a quick counterattack punished Watford for a rare venture forward. Alex Iwobi had earlier forced a fine save from Jonathan Bond, but Fulham eventually broke through with Muniz’s strike.

Raul Jimenez restored Fulham’s lead with his 10th goal of the season, converting a penalty after Antonio Tikvic’s clumsy foul on Adama Traore near the edge of the box. Without VAR in this stage of the competition, referee Matthew Donohoe awarded the spot-kick, and Jimenez made no mistake.

Fulham added two more goals late on, with Joachim Andersen finishing from a corner and Timothy Castagne heading in the fourth. Captain Andreas Pereira nearly added a fifth, rattling the bar, as Fulham cruised to victory. Manager Marco Silva rotated key players in preparation for their upcoming match against West Ham, revisiting memories of the 1975 FA Cup final.
