Graham Potter is edging closer to a return to football, with discussions progressing positively regarding his potential appointment as Julen Lopetegui’s replacement at West Ham United. Following further constructive talks with club officials, there is growing optimism from both parties that an agreement can be reached. If finalized, the 49-year-old could be in the dugout for West Ham’s FA Cup third-round tie against Aston Villa on Friday.

However, some contractual details still need to be ironed out before a deal is finalized. Meanwhile, Everton continues to monitor Potter’s situation closely, as pressure mounts on their current manager, Sean Dyche, amid the team’s ongoing struggles.

Potter has been out of management since his departure from Chelsea in April 2023. Prior to that, he built a strong reputation during successful stints with Brighton and Hove Albion, Swansea City, and Swedish club Östersund, where he rose to prominence on the European stage.
