Atalanta Thrash Young Boys 6-1 in Bern with De Ketelaere’s Brace and Three Assists

Atalanta delivered a commanding 6-1 victory over Young Boys in Bern, with Charles De Ketelaere starring in the performance, contributing two goals and three assists. Mateo Retegui also impressed with a brace, while Sead Kolasinac and Lazar Samardzic added further goals to complete the dominant display.

Atalanta were without key players for the match, including Ederson, who was suspended, and injured trio Davide Zappacosta, Giorgio Scalvini, and Gianluca Scamacca. Despite this, their attacking firepower proved too much for a Young Boys side still struggling in the group stage. With zero points after four games, Young Boys had previously come close to a positive result, narrowly losing 1-0 to Inter Milan in a last-minute defeat on October 23.

The Swiss side was missing several players due to injuries, with Tanguy Zoukrou, Loris Benito, Miguel Chaiwa, Saidy Janko, Facinet Conte, Patric Pfeiffer, and Abdu Conte all unavailable. Ebrima Colley, however, started against his parent club, adding a layer of intrigue to the match. But despite these absences, Young Boys were no match for Atalanta’s firepower as they suffered another heavy defeat.
