CBN Restructures Keystone Bank Board, Appoints New Chairperson and Directors

The Central Bank of Nigeria has restructured the board of Keystone Bank to promote its long-term growth. Announced on Wednesday, the new board is led by Lady Ada Chukwudozie as chairperson, with five non-executive directors: Abdul-Rahman Esene, Fola Akande, Akintola Olusoji, Obijiaku Samuel, and Senator Farouk Bello.

Additionally, Ladi Oluwole and Abubakar Bello were named as executive directors.

Chukwudozie brings nearly 30 years of leadership experience across various industries. Esene, with 43 years in banking and finance, has held key roles at Fidelity Bank and Afrinvest, while Akande has over 25 years in legal and risk management with major companies like Stanbic Bank and Shell.

Olusoji has 30 years of experience in finance, including leadership positions at Sterling and Access Banks. Samuel has worked for over 35 years in banking, leaving a mark at Zenith Bank and Fidelity Bank. Bello has over 20 years of banking experience in both public and private sectors.

The new executive directors add to the expertise, with Oluwole leading risk management and Bello overseeing the Northern Directorate.

Keystone Bank’s CEO, Hassan Imam, expressed optimism, noting the new board’s depth of experience would contribute significantly to the bank’s continued success.
