Nigerian Diaspora Group in U.S. Endorses Patience Ofure-Key for Edo Governorship

As the Edo State governorship election approaches, Nigerians under the Coalition of Nigerian Diaspora Interest Groups in the United States have expressed their support for Madam Patience Ofure-Key, the candidate representing the Peoples Redemption Party.

On Monday, the Coalition emphasized the significance of this election for the state’s residents, viewing it as a critical opportunity for them to determine their future and direction. After thorough evaluation of the political landscape, they chose to endorse Ofure-Key, citing her as a leader with visionary qualities and a clear, practical plan for the people of Edo State.

According to a statement released by the group’s Head of Media, Oremeyi Kareem, the Coalition highlighted that the upcoming election offers Edolites a chance to shape their destiny. They detailed their process of reviewing candidates and manifestos before unanimously endorsing Ofure-Key, commending her leadership as both the former President of the Nigerian American Association in the Diaspora and the current President of the Nigeria Diaspora Chamber of Commerce.

The statement praised her slogan, “Rise, Edo Rise: Together We Build Our Tomorrow,” noting that it reflects her commitment to the growth and prosperity of the state. The group expressed confidence in her ability to unlock the potential of Edo’s citizens, describing her focus on harnessing human capital as more than just a campaign promise, but a genuine call to action.
