The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has reassured Nigerians of a peaceful and secure environment during the upcoming Eid-el-Maulud celebrations. He emphasized that extensive security arrangements have been put in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens throughout the festivities.

Egbetokun stated that Commissioners of Police in each state, along with their respective Zonal Assistant Inspectors-General of Police, have been instructed to enforce comprehensive security protocols. These measures include increased patrols along major highways, heightened security around places of worship, and enhanced surveillance at public gathering points to prevent any potential security breaches.
