Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has granted approval for officers on Grade Levels 01-14 to take two days off work each week, while those on Grade Levels 15-17 will continue to have one day off per week. This announcement was made on Wednesday by the State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya.

Onasanya explained that the initiative is designed to alleviate the growing challenges faced by workers in commuting to their workplaces, offering significant relief while also promoting better service delivery through a more motivated and energized workforce. He highlighted the governor’s strong commitment to the welfare of state employees.

Onasanya further called on accounting officers to ensure that the policy is implemented across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, emphasizing that service delivery must not be compromised. He also noted that the governor had introduced the one-day-off policy for all grade levels in July 2023, and the extension to two days off for officers on Grade Levels 01-14 is intended to ease financial burdens and enhance productivity.
