Goals from Federico Dimarco, Davide Frattesi, and Giacomo Raspadori helped Italy come from behind to defeat France 3-1 in the UEFA Nations League, despite going a goal down just 13 seconds into the match at the Parc des Princes.
Bradley Barcola put France ahead almost immediately, capitalizing on a defensive error to fire past Gianluigi Donnarumma. However, Italy quickly regained composure, with Frattesi hitting the bar before Dimarco equalized in the 30th minute. Dimarco volleyed home after a clever one-two with Sandro Tonali.
The match remained level at halftime, but Italy took the lead in the 50th minute when Frattesi finished a slick team move, tapping in Mateo Retegui’s quick pass. Italy controlled the game from there, creating several chances before sealing the victory in the 74th minute.
Giacomo Raspadori netted the third after substitute Destiny Udogie’s through ball found him in space, calmly slotting past the French goalkeeper to secure the win.
