Former Anambra State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker Hon. Hartford Oseke has died. Oseke, who served two terms representing the Awka South 2 State Constituency, held the position of Deputy Speaker during his second term.
Tragically, Oseke collapsed while exercising at Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka. Despite immediate efforts to revive him at Apex Hospital Awka, he was pronounced dead before medical intervention could be effective.
The news of his passing has deeply affected his community. Relatives at his home in Umuawulu, Awka South Local Government Area, are in mourning, with many unable to speak publicly due to their grief.
Fellow members of the State House of Assembly, who worked alongside Oseke, have expressed their condolences and praised his contributions. They remember him as a “good man” and a “uniting force” during his tenure, recognizing his impact on fostering unity within the Assembly.
