TV cameras captured Boehly leaving his executive box shortly after Mateo Kovacic scored City’s second goal. Erling Haaland had earlier put the Premier League champions ahead with a precise finish in the first half.
Despite Chelsea having several opportunities to equalize, it was City who added the next goal, with Kovacic driving a powerful shot past Robert Sanchez. Chelsea’s upcoming league match is an away fixture against Wolves.
