Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo on Tuesday handed over 11 new vehicles to judges in the state, fulfilling a pledge made to them during the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed judges on July 17, 2024.
The vehicles, presented to the state’s Chief Judge, Josiah Mejabi, were delivered at a ceremony held at Muhammad Buhari Square in Lokoja. Governor Ododo, represented by Kogi Head of Service Elijah Evimemi, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of judicial officers in the state.
Governor Ododo urged the judges to uphold justice for all citizens seeking redress in the courts, encouraging them to reciprocate the government’s gesture. In response, the Chief Judge expressed gratitude to the governor for honoring his promise.
