The Action People’s Party (APP) office located in the GRA area of Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, was struck by a dynamite explosion in the early hours of Monday, around 1 a.m.
The attackers reportedly launched dynamites into the building housing the party’s secretariat, causing significant damage to windows, doors, and other property within the premises. The explosion comes amid growing rumors that Governor Siminalayi Fubara is considering a move to the APP with his supporters.
A party official, who wished to remain anonymous, suggested that the attack was politically motivated. However, the spokesperson for the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, stated that she was not yet informed about the incident.
