Morroco football team bounced back impressively from their 2-1 semi-final defeat to Spain, achieving their most decisive victory of the tournament to secure Morocco’s first Olympic football medal.
Abde Ezzalzouli and Soufiane Rahimi put the Atlas Lions ahead 2-0 by halftime, with Bilal El Khannouss adding a third goal in the 51st minute. Rahimi then netted his second of the match, bringing his total to eight goals at Paris 2024.
Akram Nakach extended the lead to 5-0 in the 73rd minute, and Achraf Hakimi capped off the scoring with a superb free-kick three minutes before the final whistle.
