Chelsea Bolsters Midfield with £30M Signing of Leicester’s Dewsbury-Hall

In a £30 million move, Chelsea have secured midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City.

The 25-year-old, an academy graduate of Leicester, has signed a six-year deal that extends until 2030.

The transfer was completed before the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules (PSR) deadline on Sunday, helping Leicester adhere to financial guidelines.

“It is amazing to be sitting here as a Chelsea player,” said Dewsbury-Hall.

“This is a club people grow up watching and hoping to one day play for, so it is a privilege to be here.”

He will reunite with manager Enzo Maresca, who joined Chelsea this summer after leading Leicester to the Championship title last season.

Dewsbury-Hall, who scored 12 goals and provided 12 assists in 44 league games last season, was named Leicester’s player of the season and players’ player of the season.

He becomes Chelsea’s fourth summer signing, following defender Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer from Fulham, midfielder Omari Kellyman’s £19 million move from Aston V
