Emir Aminu Ado Bayero of Kano extended warm wishes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in honor of the Sallah festivities.

During a broadcast from the Nassarawa mini palace on Saturday, the Emir announced the cancellation of durbar ceremonies following security advice aimed at maintaining peace in the state.

“On this sacred occasion of Eid, as Muslims worldwide observe the Day of Arafat, we extend our heartfelt greetings to all,” the Emir stated. “Eid emphasizes the tradition of animal sacrifice for those who are able, and we pray for provision from Allah for those who cannot afford it.”

“We send our sincere congratulations to the President and the Governor on this auspicious Sallah celebration, praying for their continued strength and wisdom in governance. We urge them to steadfastly deliver democratic dividends while safeguarding lives and property. We also call on the people to pray fervently for their leaders,” he continued.

“In adherence to security recommendations, we have suspended all durbar activities to uphold ongoing peace,” the Emir concluded.

Additionally, Sarkin Dawaki, Aminu Babba Dan Agundi, announced that the Emir would perform his Eid prayer at the Nassarawa mini palace on Sunday at 8 am.
