Kylian Mbappe has officially sealed a deal to join Real Madrid on a free transfer after his Paris St-Germain contract expires on June 30.
The French striker had verbally committed to the move to the Bernabeu in February and confirmed his departure from PSG at the end of the season in May.
Now, Mbappe, aged 25, has put pen to paper with Real Madrid and will make the switch to Spain when the La Liga transfer window opens on July 1.
The announcement of the deal is expected from Madrid next week, with the possibility of a formal presentation of the player at the Bernabeu before Euro 2024.
A World Cup winner in 2018, Mbappe has become PSG’s all-time leading goal scorer with 256 goals since his arrival from Monaco on loan in 2017. He has inked a contract with Real until 2029, with an annual salary of 15 million euros (£12.8 million), along with a signing bonus of 150 million euros (£128 million) to be paid over five years. Additionally, he will retain a share of his image rights.
