The Ebonyi State government is gearing up to elevate its forthcoming maiden edition of the state’s Investment Summit into a global gathering of top-tier business leaders.
At a meeting convened at the state Ministry of Trade and Investment in Ochudo Centenary City, Abakaliki, Mr. Henry Awuregu, Co-chairman of the Central Planning Committee, emphasized the concerted efforts to entice renowned investors worldwide to participate in the summit and cultivate their interest in investing in the state.
Awuregu underscored that the event aims to assemble distinguished figures from various sectors of the investment landscape, prioritizing substantive business discussions over political fanfare. He revealed plans to unveil an Investment Compendium during the summit, serving as a comprehensive showcase of the state’s investment potential to the attending investors.
In their enthusiastic remarks, Dr. Emma Nwafor, Director-General of Salt City Chambers of Commerce, and Mr. Joel Ebenyi, the committee’s Secretary, expressed optimism that the summit would revolutionize perceptions of investment in Ebonyi State. They emphasized the intent to spotlight the state’s abundant investment opportunities and attract genuine investors to capitalize on the areas where the state holds a competitive advantage.
The meeting witnessed active participation from various stakeholders, including Mr. Victor Olughu and Mrs. Ernestina Ogba, who urged the sub-committees to work diligently to ensure the summit’s resounding success.
