Shehu Mohammed Appointed as New FRSC Corps Marshal by President Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Shehu Mohammed as the new Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), succeeding Dauda Biu, who was appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2022.

This announcement came through a statement issued on Wednesday, May 22, by Segun Imohiosen, the Director of Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

According to the statement, President Tinubu has endorsed Assistant Corps Marshal Mohammed Shehu to assume the position of Corps Marshal/Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Road Safety Commission for an initial term of four years, effective from May 20, 2024, in line with the provisions of the Commission’s establishing Act. President Tinubu has urged Mohammed to utilize his extensive experience in his new role.

Having previously served as an Assistant Corps Marshal, Mohammed officially commenced his new duties on May 20, 2024, with his appointment set for an initial term of four years.
